Hello everyone!
Good luck elementary football team!
Here are today's assignments:
Spelling: p. 53 in workbook: test tomorrow!
Reading: Finish final copy of spooky story due on Monday (illustration also due on Monday)
Math: WB p. 21
Social Studies: Election WS 11 (graphs), and complete biography of George Bush in your election journal
Tomorrow is Halloween! Remember that costumes are optional and students may wear them to school if they wish. Also, we will be swimming tomorrow afternoon so bring a swimsuit, towel, and a bag to put wet clothes in.
Also, tonight is the opening ceremony for the new auditorium starting at 6. Elementary students are encouraged to attend so they can participate in a song.
A note was also sent home today about basketball sign-ups.
Have a great night. Tomorrow is the last day of quarter one, but it should be a fun one!

Can you believe the snow? I wasn't ready for it yet!
Here are the assignments due tomorrow:
Spelling: Write week 9 words 3x if correct or 5x if incorrect (from pretest)
Math: WB p. 19 (1-21) Show factor trees on scratch paper
Social Studies: Create poster encouraging people to get out and vote on November 4. We will be voting on the best poster tomorrow morning.
We are going to be recording our radio show of "The Redheaded League" on Wednesday and Thursday.
Just a few reminders:
On Friday we will have our fall festival. Students may dress up as we are going to have a costume parade. This is optional. In the afternoon we will be swimming so students will need to bring a swimsuit, a towel and a bag to put all wet items in. It should be a fun time!
The next book order is due on Friday, November 7.
Remember to turn in the fundraiser money as soon as you can! If we get all the money in by November 9 then we don't have to pay for shipping. It would save us a lot of money.
Have a great night! Enjoy the snow!

Short Week.....
Hello everyone!
Just an FYI...we are still having a spelling test this week on Wednesday so even though it is a short period of time to study I think you can still do a great job.
Here are today's assignments:
Spelling: WB p.39-40, write spelling words 3x or 5x each
Math: Book p.67 (2-15, show work)
Social Studies: Chapter Tour WS p.88-92 in book
Science: Habitat brochure due on Wednesday
If you can, donate a non-perishable food item for community ed.
We started long division today in math. So far, so good! We will be continuing to master this skill so any practice with division and multiplication at home would really help!
Hope you have a great night!

Hello!
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted last. Here are today's assingments:
Reading: read p. 118-125. Complete part one of "The Redheaded League" Treasure Hunt. Due Friday
Math: WB p.14
Language: Quiz
Spelling: Test tomorrow
Science: Brochure "Trees as Habitats" This is due on Wednesday, October 15.
Yesterday we went outside to look for evidence of plants, animals, fungi and insects that use trees as part of their habitat. We were able to find some great things just behind the school. Now we are using the information to create a brochure about how trees are part of a habitat for many living things.
Sorry if you didn't get the pictures today....I forgot to send them home at the end of the day!!
I will send them home tomorrow for sure.
Have a great evening,
Mrs. E
