Thursday, December 18

Hello everyone!

The week is winding down and then it will be the holiday break! I know that everyone is getting excited to have some time off but you can still do some things at home so you are prepared for school to start in January:
Keep reading for reading counts
Practice multiplication facts

Also, work on your multiplication packet that is due next year (January 5, 2009!)

Tomorrow should be a fun day. I am looking forward to skiing. I have always been afraid to try it but I am feeling adventurous and I am going to take a lesson tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone that donated treats and juice for the party and to the parents that have donated their time to help with activities in the classroom. The students are lucky to have such nice and generous parents and family members!

Have a happy holiday and a great New Year!

Mrs. E.

Holiday Party

December 10, 2008

Dear Parents, Students, and Guardians:

We are going to celebrate with a holiday party on Thursday, December 18. This party will be in the afternoon after recess at about 1:20 PM. We will be having a gift exchange; however we will not exchange names this year. We will be playing the “dice game” so please bring a wrapped prize to share. If you are a girl, please bring a gift that would be appropriate for a girl, and if you are a boy you should bring a gift appropriate for a boy. The price range for gifts is five dollars or less.
If you would like to volunteer a treat or drink, or if you would like to come in and lead a game or activity, please let me know.

Mrs. Engman
